You can also get a free hit in when he throws out that green globe. Just be prepared to deflect again if your attack is blocked. In the first form you can get free hits in when he does the two shuriken and overhead smash. Make sure you created a save file with at least one character on the account-B - log into the game on the account-B, sign user agreement, start a new game and quit one when you get the character in the first area. You just gotta get the attack patterns down so you know when its safe to attack and when you need to be prepared to deflect to prevent huge damage. Open c:Users user-A-windows-nameAppDataRoamingSekiro user-A-steam-id and get the file S0000.sl2 - this is Sekiros save file. Its pretty similar in that regard to the earlier fight in that same location earlier in the game. You can't really get in more than two hits max at once. Then if you're confident with deflects you can try and beat him quicker with deflects or you can just continue to hit him and run away.
I basically just used a hit and run strategy in this fight to whittle down his health a bit until his posture regen slows down. BUT I like this boss a lot and I'm fine not using any prosthetics, items, buffs and just duking it out to really learn the fight.
#SEKIRO SAVE FILE OWL PLUS#
I've thought about switching them as X as run and O as jump helps in general with running and jumping in levels because it's easier to press both buttons with one digit rather than claw-ing, but I think it's too late to mess with buttons again at this point, and plus I am used to O as run/dodge in Souls - it's just getting used to that extra button choice, it's really messing with me. The only thing that's really catching me out is jumping her sweeps - I even know when they're coming at this point, but I'm still having such a brain-block with having two dodge buttons. It kind of reminds me of Artorias in a way. The slower pace, the telegraphed moves with mix-ups. The thought of having to grind out a win against G enichiro still terrifies me so I'm putting it off as long as possible and concentrating on C orrupted Monk - This is a real Soulsy boss which is probably why I'm enjoying it.
